Proposed Route Elimination - 116 Koval / Industrial
Horizontal Line

Route 116 Elimination MapThe Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is proposing the elimination of Route 116 Koval/Industrial to further enhance the efficiency of the RTC transit system. Simmons Route 119 would extend along Koval Lane between Sands Avenue and Reno Avenue to preserve the portion of the route currently serviced by Route 116. In addition, it is proposed to operate select Route 119 trips on Industrial Road between Mel Torme Way and Sahara Avenue.

Transit service north of Sahara Avenue along Industrial Road and Main Street would not be serviced. Alternative routes for transportation to downtown Las Vegas would include the new ACE rapid transit service (debuting early 2010)or Route 108. Alternate service is also available on Route 204 along Sahara Avenue for east/west travel.

A public hearing for the proposed service change will take place at 8:45 a.m. at the August 13, 2009, RTC Board of Commissioners Meeting held at the Clark County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Pkwy., Las Vegas, NV 89155.

If approved by the RTC Board of Commissioners this service change will go into effect no earlier than January 10, 2010.
