The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is alerting drivers to significant traffic changes near the resort corridor as the I-15/Tropicana Interchange Project progresses. Phase 5 is now underway, bringing updates to the west side of Tropicana Avenue. These changes are designed to help motorists navigate the area safely and efficiently as construction continues. Meanwhile, ongoing work in Phases 3 and 4 focuses on reconstructing the Dean Martin Drive/Tropicana Avenue intersection.

As part of these updates, NDOT is unveiling Joey Bishop Drive, a newly constructed north-south roadway running beneath the Tropicana Avenue bridge alongside Interstate 15 (I-15). Opened Friday, Jan. 17, this new route serves as a crucial detour during the closure of Dean Martin Drive and provides long-term improvements to traffic flow. Named in honor of Rat Pack member Joey Bishop, the roadway adds a unique touch of Las Vegas history to this vital infrastructure upgrade.

Key Traffic Changes:

Occurring now:

  • Dean Martin Drive, north of Tropicana Avenue: CLOSED
  • North and southbound Joey Bishop Drive OPEN to traffic

*Business access maintained

24/7 Monday, Feb. 3 to Tuesday, Feb. 18:

  • East and westbound Tropicana Avenue access to Dean Martin Drive: CLOSED
