December 3 is International Day of Persons with Disabilities and as a public transit agency, the RTC continues to push for a more inclusive environment and works to provide transformative mobility solutions for all Southern Nevadans.
In an effort to reaffirm our commitment to equal access and opportunity, we have compiled a list of services and resources available year-round to help those with special care needs ride transit safely.
Paratransit Services
The RTC offers its Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible Paratransit Services to individuals who are functionally unable to ride the RTC’s fixed-route transit service independently. Customers need to apply for the service and undergo an independent evaluation to determine eligibility.
To learn more about how you can get certified, call (702) 676-1815 or visit our Get Certified webpage.
FREE Mobility Training Program
Mobility training is a free one-on-one or group training program to help seniors, students and people with disabilities learn how to use the RTC’s transit service safely and properly. Mobility training is meant to help develop the skills and confidence needed to travel independently.
To get started, call (702) 676-1767 to set up an in-home assessment or visit our Mobility Training webpage.
